The Position
Support on-going manufacturing operations by
participating in technical transfers between sites and by performing
trouble-shooting activities. Assist senior engineers with the development
of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes or technologies on pilot scale and
help implement them on manufacturing scale. Collaborate across multiple
functional areas such as formulation development, manufacturing and
validation. Utilize basic engineering principles and techniques to solve
technical problems in the following areas of focus: storage /handling of
protein bulks, freezing, thawing, mixing, sterile filtration, filling, micro encapsulation, lyophilization, vial inspection and vaporized hydrogen
peroxide.
Desired Qualification
and Skills
BS of MS in Pharm Sci, Chemistry, Chemical
Engineering or Bioengineering with at least 2 years of experience. Skills
should include excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, hands on
experience with protein processing, general lab techniques / instrumentation,
good verbal and written communication and the ability to interact and influence
in a multi-disciplinary group setting. Technical proficiency with fill
finish unit operations, mechanical aptitude, strong interpersonal skills and
proactive attitude are highly desirable as well.
