Job Description

A vacancy exists in the Durban/ Westville Office for an Engineer / Technologist / Technician to commence duties in the Public Infrastructure Division as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include:

·         Design of all related services in the Public Infrastructure sector including bulk earthworks, roads, stormwater, sewers, water services and water resources

·         Asset Registers and Asset Management Plans

·         Close liaison with Municipalities and Clients

·         Ensuring quality compliance according to the TQM system

Requirements:

·         B Eng / BSc Eng / B Tech / ND Civil Engineering

·         At least 3 years’ experience in working with Local Government w.r.t infrastructure planning, bulk earthworks, roads, stormwater, sewers, water services and water resources

·         Proficient in related civil engineering services computer software; model Maker/ Civil Designer

·         Good communication skills and report writing

·         MS Office: Ability to do advanced PowerPoint presentations, at least intermediate ability on Excel and Word (advanced preferable)

·         Knowledge of Municipal infrastructure

·         Drivers licence and own transport

·         HDI candidates will get preference
