We are presently
seeking a Chemical Process Engineer for our Baton Rouge, LA location. Chemical Process Engineer will work closely with
operations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the G-1113 Production
Area.
Responsibilities
Duties include:
§ § Day to day process problem
solving
§
Managing
projects from concept to commissioned equipment
§
Developing
and implementing process improvement ideas and projects
§
Identifying
and implementing safety and environmental related improvements
§
Maintaining
proper engineering documentation
§
Providing
process engineering assistance to solve manufacturing upsets, providing timely
communication to management and unit personnel
Other
responsibilities may include supporting debottlenecking and expansion efforts,
turn-around related work, creation of plant tests, improving on-stream time,
participating in accident/ incident investigations, developing operating
procedures and performing training. Must embrace Honeywell Structured Safety
Process, Honeywell Operating System, Six Sigma, Lean and standard work
methodology.
The individual
will be expected to work closely with the Fluorocarbons manufacturing groups as
well as process technology areas to identify and develop solutions to meet the
growing needs for production. Candidates should be results-oriented with good
interpersonal communication and team-based skills. The individual will be
expected to work closely with manufacturing groups as well as process
technology groups to identify and develop solutions to meet the growing needs
for unit process engineering. Good communication, strong analytical and
technical skills, keen interest for problem solving and trouble-shooting are essential.
